HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!Well here we are again and I'd forgotten about this for a while. So much has happened with the site that I don't even know where to begin. It's official now,
Remix is my most popular story. I get more and more email about that one than any other. It's only available on my site so that makes it even more obvious how popular it is.
Storyville 3 is available on two sites,
Dustin on three and a few of the stories can also be found on Nifty. Yet I still get the most email about
Remix. That's comforting in a way because I was so nervous about how people would react when I announced the story so long ago. I've gotten mostly positive feedback so I guess it's working.
Storyville 3 is in a transitional faze at the moment. A significant event is coming that I'm not sure what the fans will have to say about. ...

26 July 07 - 15:23Story News
The start of The Lexus Chronicles got great reviews and I'll be working on the first block of chapters for that story as soon as I get done with the current block of chapter for Remix. It's likely to make a few people a little angry but each of the stories will have to be put on hold at various times so that I can write myself ahead at least five chapters per story. Right now I'm working on chapters 56 through 60 of Remix and then I'll move on to chapters 2 through 7 of The Lexus Chronicles. Next it will either be Storyville 3 or Charmed. I'm not sure which.
I'm working again so that's taking a bite out of my writing time. School will start next month and that will make it even harder but I'm going to find the time to do it if it kills me. The remaining three stories in The David Files are being tweaked and re-edited but they'll appear on the site soon. I'm pleased with the feedback that the first two stories received. ...

02 July 07 - 11:18The Whirlwind
Ok so I'm back in Illinois. Florida was awful and I'm not going to med school. I didn't like what I saw happening at the university in Florida, and the rest of my stay there was terrible. So I packed up and moved back to Illinois where I'm attempting to follow a different course in my degree studies at a completely different university.
We did find an apaprtment, though. We're all moved in and everything is turned on and running again. Doug found a job that he at least doesn't hate. I'm working again as well. That's a plus I guess. I like the job, but some of the poeple I work with are almost intollerable. I guess what's important is that I don't have to dip into my trust fund to pay for anything as long as I'm making money.
The stories will be updated as soon as I can write something I like. Working on the new
Storyville chapter is going very slowly. I'll try to have something ready for posting as soon as I can. ...

29 April 07 - 23:34WOW I forgot!
Oh my God I completely forgot about this thing. With finals almost over I'm sure you all can guess how crazy life has been for me. Then my hard drive crashed and I had to rebuild. I lost my user information for the site. When I got new information to use, the site was down. That was frustrating, but it's fixed for now. Oh yeah, there'll be a server transfer soon, so the site will probably go down again.
So anyway, life is going pretty good. I have two more finals and then I'm done with that until I get to Florida for medical school. Wish me luck there! I got all of the chapters to the stories that were posted elsewhere uploaded to the site and even posted the new chapter of
Charmed a day early. I hope everyone enjoyed that one.
Any way, I'm tired now so I'll stop here. Just wanted to write something in here to show that I finally remembered that I have this thing.

Ok, so I had decided to write the story SWITCH orginally, but ended up writing A Boy Named Brian. Then I decided, after hearing from my real life brother, Brian, for the first time, to merge all of the stories together. SWITCH became almost impossible to both merge with Storyville and write to begin with. Then I decided that Charmed, A Boy Named Brian and Remix were too many stories to write when I wanted to begin Storyville 3. So I thought about ending Charmed and Remix. Then I decided I'd miss both stories too much. So, Charmed will continue for a while. Remix will continue until Skyler reaches 2007 (or whatever year it is when I get that far). ...

01 February 07 - 15:41Getting The Stories To Merge A Bit
I've decided to make the stories come together. That's easy with almost all of them. The only one that I'm having a little trouble getting to tie in is my upcoming Star Trek story, but I guess they don't all have to go together. Storyvill 3 will be coming to the site once A Boy Named Brian and SWITCH are complete. With Storyville 3 will come the merging of the stories. At least one character from each of the other stories will appear in Storyville 3. Like Storyville 2, the third installment will be almost 90% fiction with a few real events thrown in. This will probably be the last installment in Tommy's Storyville line. Look for newer stories after that. I'm having fun with what I've written so far on The Lexus Chronicles. I have no idea when the story will make it to the site. ...

27 January 07 - 12:19Great news!
We got very good news today. Not only can we stay in our apartment, our rent is going down. That's a long story that I won't go in to, but this means that nothing will change for the forseeable future. I don't have to leave the net, and I don't have to move. That means I can still post chapters of the stories and hopefully finish one or two. I want A Boy Named Brian and SWITCH to be finished before too long. That isn't going to be too difficult, I don't plan for either of them to be huge stories. No more than ten or twenty chapters per story there. I need to get back to Charmed soon, too. I miss that one a bit. Remix is moving along, and I'm now taking a break from it again to write A Boy Named Brian. I've posted the first chapter and I'll post chapter 2 on Monday. Once I get a lot of that one written I'm going to tackle SWITCH. We'll see what happens.
24 January 07 - 15:07Leaving The Net
Well I posted Chapter 1 of A Boy Named Brian, but it looks like I won't be posting anything else for a while. I just found out this afternoon that I won't have the internet, or power for that matter, for quite a while. Doug and I will be moving in with a friend until all of this is settled. I don't know how long it will be before I can post anything again. Just wanted to let everyone know. 13 January 07 - 04:44A Boy Named Brian
I've been off work for a few days, because a pipe burst in the kitchen where I work. I go back to work today. I used that time off to write a few chapters. I finished a block of chapters for Remix, and I've started writing the first block of chapters for A Boy Named Brian. Once I have a few to fall back on I'll start posting chapters to the story.
I'm not sure when SWITCH will be updated or when Charmed will resume. I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to have four stories underway at the same time. I guess I'm a little crazy. Who knows. It was fun writing Remix again after so long. I really missed that story. Skyler's fun to write for. I mean, he's a rich celebrity with JC Chasez as a lover. Who wouldn't like writing something like that?
A Boy Named Brian is proving to be difficult but fun to write. I'm attempting to make the story as good as I can. In doing so I'm researching a lot of different things and trying to decide on plot twists. I'm writing the outline a few chapters ...

10 January 07 - 04:18Writing Tips? Or Am I Ranting Again?
Ok, I got an email from someone the other day recommending a story. I was told that I would enjoy the story. Well I don't know if I would have enjoyed it or not, because I couldn't get past the first chapter! The entire thing was a jumble of words and punctuation that made little to no sense. Now of course I could have suffered through all of that to figure out if I liked the idea of the story or not, but who wants to spend a spell of lazy reading editing a story just so they can read it? I don't. So from this experience I have put together a little list of things that I believe are horrible things to do in a story. The list follows:
1. Make sure that you can find the end of one paragraph as well as the next. Don't confuse the reader!
2. When you write dialogue, each person speaking should have a new paragraph! If everyone is talking in the same paragraph the reader will be confused and give up.
3. If you start the story with one character as narrator (1rst person narration) ...

Well I've just gotten out of the shower after my workout, and I thought I'd post an entry here before I eat breakfast and get ready for my first class of the day. For starters, the offer was great and I accepted. Very soon the stories will be moving from this page and the geocities page to the new site. The url is http://juliengregg.acannex.us. There's nothing there yet, but give me time. Until the site is completely set up the stories will remain here. I'll remove the stories as they are posted on the new site. When I do that there will be a redirect link where the story page would have been here.
I'm really excited about the new site, and I hope you'll all check it out when I'm done. The site is being hosted by a great community of sites at http://acannex.us. Check them all out, and there's a forum board over there, too. I'll be posting on that board as well as here on this blog. ...

08 January 07 - 17:04An Interesting Offer
I received a very interesting offer today. The webmaster of the Annex Downunder emailed me and offered to host my stories on his site. I'm considering the offer, and I'm kind of excited about it. I would not have left Gay Authors if I had known that I would find myself in the situation that I now find myself. It would be nice to be a part of a community of authors again. I'll keep everyone posted about what's happening with this. Who knows, maybe my work will be moving again. I know that's getting old, but if I move it to the Annex, I'm done moving it. I hate reformatting chapters just as much as you all hate searching for them all over the net.
06 January 07 - 13:37The End Of Storyville 2
Many people are writing to me to let me know how they feel about the end of Storyville 2. I understand that a lot of people don't like the fact that Tommy and Steve broke up and some wish that I would write Storyville 3 and put them back together. Well that isn't going to happen. At this point in time I have no intention of going back to Jordan even if he wanted me to. Our relationship is clearly over, and since Tommy and Steve were so closely based on us, writing about them in a relationship would almost be torture. I'm not saying that I won't write Storyville 3. I'm still thinking it over. We'll see.
Other than all of that I'm alive and doing well. I'm still in school and working almost every day, so writing time has been reduced. That's why it has taken so long for me to post chapters to any of the stories. The site going down has caused a great deal of confusion, but I'm hoping that the eGroup will let most readers know where the stories are. ...
